In 2017, an ex campus student turned entrepreneur set out to solve the offline data gap with the main mission to leverage technology to help brands grow. He was frustrated with the delay in data gatherings and how little he knew about their shoppers beyond the existing survey-based data and estimates. While on the other side of the retail spectrum, the tech-based companies and online retail players have all the access to a large bank of users’ data that the offline counterparts can only dream of. Therefore, it was in that particular gap that David saw the opportunity to fill in by creating Moot. And in April 2017, Moot was born.
Fast forward three years, and Moot is now one of the most frequently used shopping apps in the Kenya, partnering with leading brands and retailers.
